ELECTION TO MEMBERSHIP:
The application process takes approximately three (3) months from the time we receive an application to the time an applicant is accepted into membership. When the Vice President receives an application, he/she determines that is in order and if so, submits it to the Board for review at the next monthly Board meeting. The names of the pending applicants are then printed in the ACA Update (ACA's official newsletter) for the membership to review. If there are no objections to the pending applicants, the Board makes a motion to accept the applicants into membership and the motion is voted on at the next monthly Board meeting.
Shortly after an applicant is accepted into ACA, they will receive a membership packet, this includes a membership card for the current year, a copy of the Constitution & Bylaws and other miscellaneous Club information. New members will also begin to receive the ACA Updates and information regarding the National Specialty Show and Annual Meeting of the General Membership. The Updates are now available online in the Member's only section.
To ensure that your application is processed without delay, please read and follow the instructions on the application form. If you would like to receive verification that we have received your application, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the application or a note with your e-mail address requesting notification via the internet.
